Coral + Michael | Total Solar Eclipse Wedding – Anedodi, Mt Home AR

In the serene heights of the Ozark Mountains, overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Norfolk, Coral and Michael’s love story eclipsed all others. Traveling from Massachusetts to the heart of Arkansas, they exchanged their vows in an intimate spring celebration at Anedodi, surrounded by their favorite people. This was an extraordinary wedding that I’ve been looking forward to.

Their day was marked not only by the joining of hearts and families but also by the cosmic spectacle of a total solar eclipse, a breathtaking moment mirroring the rare and profound love they share. Love, like an eclipse, is a rare alignment, an extraordinary event that reminds us that while the universe is vast, finding your true counterpart in its expanse is something truly celestial.

As the day unfolded, I was welcomed by the delightful chaos that comes with every wedding. Upstairs, Coral was a vision of beauty, preparing the final touches with excitement. Their adorable pup, Mazu,  playfully navigated the flurry of preparations. Downstairs, amidst the laughter and camaraderie and a few drinks, Michael was finishing getting ready.  Unfortunately, Michael was injured a week before the wedding, forcing him to don a leg brace and crutches. Despite this unexpected twist – it couldn’t dampen his spirits — and nothing would stand in his way of meeting his bride at the altar.

The first look was tender under the sheltering deck, a private moment for Coral and Michael before the remaining whirlwinds of celebration began. Soon, their loved ones made their way to the altar. As they stood hand in hand, their family and friends encircled them with warmth, their union sealed with a kiss under the darkening sky as the eclipse reached totality, a stunning background to this once-in-a-lifetime event

The reception was a joyful affair. A delicious lunch was savored, and speeches were shared with laughter and heartfelt emotion. And in a splash of spontaneity after portraits were complete, the bridal party dove into the pool, dresses and all. The rest of the afternoon was filled with drinks, dessert, and dancing as everyone enjoyed this laid-back reception.

Coral and Michael, it was an honor to capture the moments that will tell the story of your day under the eclipsed sun for years to come. Enjoy this tiny peek back at your day. There is SOOO much more to come!!  May your lives together be as unique and awe-inspiring as the celestial event that graced your wedding day. Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your journey.

Lots of Love,
Jessica

Rebekah & Mason | Springfield, MO Wedding at Glidewell Baptist Church

In the warm embrace of a sun-kissed spring day, Mason and Rebekah’s hearts entwined as one in the timeless sanctuary of Glidewell Baptist Church, just outside of Springfield, MO. A symphony of light laughter cascaded through upstairs, where Rebekah was surrounded by her favorite ladies. She was finishing up her hair and makeup when I arrived, looking stunning. Her simple and elegant updo, a perfect frame drawing you into her radiant smile. Meanwhile, Mason’s day was unfolding with a light-hearted spirit, setting the tone for the day as he prepped alongside his groomsmen, even taking the time for a car wash, much to everyone’s amusement.
Choosing tradition, Mason waited at the altar with anticipation. The moment Rebekah walked down the aisle with her father, Mason’s lit-up face said it all. Their ceremony was heartfelt, with vows that spoke not just to each other, but also to their faith, culminating in a shared communion before being joyfully announced as husband and wife.
Their reception was a lively blend of cheer and warmth. The newlyweds made their grand entrance to applause and joy, slicing into their cake before sitting down to a meal surrounded by friends and family. Toasts were made, filled with anecdotes that had everyone in stitches or reaching for tissues. When it was time to say goodbye, a playful toss of birdseed from their guests sent them off into the afternoon, ready for a few last pictures to wrap up their day, with the golden afternoon sun as our witness.
Mason & Rebekah, Thank You for choosing to share your love story with me. It was an absolute honor to be a part of your day and I’m wishing you a lifetime of beautiful moments just like these as you continue into the next chapter of your story together.
    Lots of Love,

Anna + Weimer’s Spring Haseltine Estate Wedding, Springfield MO

On a bright Spring day, Anna and Weimer’s wedding at Haseltine Estate was as refreshing as the season itself. As the sun peeked out, you could feel the excitement buzzing through the gorgeous estate. The air was cool, but nothing could dampen the warmth of the day ahead.

In the bridal suite, laughter and music filled the air while Anna put the finishing touches on her look. Weimer shared quieter moments with his brothers and mom, a calm before the day’s joyful business. There, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, they readied themselves to begin a new chapter.

Anna & Weimer shared a first look in the driveway, under the blush of trees first blooms. When Anna and Weimer locked eyes during their first look, the overcast sky couldn’t dull the sheer happiness radiating from them.

Soon, the ceremony was upon us. Haseltine Estate stood regally, echoing the day’s joyous spirit, its history the silent witness to the new memories being etched. The couple’s favorite people joined them from far and wide for the celebration, some traveling from the distant vibrance of Honduras. Weimer beamed as he made his entrance, and the smiles grew even wider when their adored dogs made their way down the aisle, escorted by the Best Man &. Maid-of-Honor. As Anna approached, the look on Weimer’s face said it all – this was the moment they’d been waiting for. Amy Wallace, with her gift of weaving narratives, shared their love story, making everyone feel like they were a part of Anna and Weimer’s journey. Vows were exchanged and kisses shared before they strolled through a shower of flower petals as husband and wife, ready to celebrate with those who meant the world to them.

We embraced the brisk air for some quick portraits and then headed for the warmth of the gorgeous historic estate where their guests were waiting to spend some time celebrating the newlyweds. Heartfelt speeches were made, and the cake was cut before everyone headed to the dance floor. Anna’s sister serenaded everyone as Anna & Weimer shared their first dance. The rest of the evening was all about the music, the laughter, and a dance floor alive with the harmony of two families becoming one. (Even their furbabies joined in.) And as the evening drew to a close, sparklers lit up the night, sending Anna and Weimer off into their new life together with a glow as warm as the day had been.

Anna & Weimer, your wedding was a beautiful beginning to what I know will be a wonderful journey, filled with laughter, love, and the sweet companionship of each other… and, of course, your furry friends. I’m so grateful I could be there to witness it and capture these memories for you.

      Lots of Love,
      Jessica

Love, Courage, and Chiefs: Shelley & John’s Journey Together

In the heart of Chief’s country, amidst a sea of red and gold, a love story unfolded that would touch the heart of every person it reached. Shelley and John, two souls who found each other later in life, discovered a teenage-like love that blossomed swiftly and deeply. Their love was celebrated daily, from their first Valentine’s Day at Jimm’s Steakhouse & Pub to an anniversary that turned into a beautiful proposal.

Their connection is about the simple joys—binge-watching crime shows, cheering on The Kansas City Chiefs, and dreaming of a future together. But fate wrote a challenging chapter for them. John, a fighter with a spirit as fierce as the players he idolizes, is the longest-living LVAD patient. His battle with Congestive Heart Failure brought them to Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis in December, where Shelley stood by him, taking the time off work.  She spent 6 weeks sleeping in the hospital recliner, her unwavering love the beacon guiding them through their darkest times.

With the future so unknown, The hospital staff arranged for them to get married there. Amid the beeps and whispers of the hospital, they exchanged vows, a testament to their unyielding bond in the face of uncertainty. After 6 weeks, They were finally able to return home. A “Just Married” sign painted upon their door, greeted them, a bittersweet reminder of the joys and sorrows interwoven in their life together.

It has been in my heart to make sure they were able to get some photos together. Sadly, John was quickly transitioned to hospice end-of-life care shortly after returning to Springfield. I had the honor of capturing their love in the comfort of their home, where Chief’s pride adorns every corner. In a space transformed by necessity, their living room has been replaced with a hospital bed. Shelley is still sleeping in a recliner- not wanting to leave his side. The newlyweds greeted me with smiles when I arrived, both proudly wearing their Patrick Mahomes jerseys. I know that this is not what they imagined for their wedding photos, but I know in my heart they will be cherished just as much. John struggled to be fully with us in the moment, but one thing was clear–their love for one another was still shining through more than ever.

Shelley, ever-present by John’s side, now faces the unimaginable task of saying goodbye far too soon. John’s heart failure continues to progress and they are not sure how much time he has left. Instead of being excited at changing her name and the typical joys of newlywed bliss-Shelley is put in the position of planning her new husband’s funeral. This is where you come in. John and Shelley’s journey is a testament to love’s power and resilience, but they need our support. They face mounting medical and living expenses, and without the safety net of life insurance, the road ahead is daunting. Let’s rally for them, Chiefs Kingdom, and all who believe in love’s triumph. Any contribution to their GoFundMe will ease Shelley’s burden and allow her to cherish the time they have left without the shadow of financial worry. If it moves you, please reach out with a helping hand. Let’s give back to John and Shelley the same joy and strength they’ve shared with us.

Your generosity can turn a story of love into a legacy of compassion. Together, we can ensure that this chapter of their love story, though heartbreaking, is filled with the community’s warmth and support.

        Lots of Love,
        Jessica
