Chelsea + Jesse’s Wedding | Southern Charm Estate, Mt Grove MO

Chelsea and Jesse won my heart over at their engagement session. These two are just everything I love in my couples. Their kindness and laid-back vibes are perfect. You can’t help wanting to spend time with them.

This past weekend it was FINALLY time for their wedding day at the beautiful Southern Charm Estate. We arrived to find the girls relaxing. They had spent the morning getting pampered and having their hair and makeup done. The guys were enjoying their time just as much.  Food, Video Games, and even a couple of baseball mitts kept them entertained in their downtime. And  The entire building was filled with happiness in anticipation of this amazing day. Their family and friends were just as sweet as them, which made their wedding day even more fun!!

Jesse and Chelsea finished getting ready surrounded by their favorite people. Both Chelsea & Jesse were missing two very dear friends that are no longer with us. Even the loved ones they’ve lost were greatly missed, they felt as though they were there with them in spirit. Along with his Pokemon card “pocket square”, Jesse held a token in memory of his friend John, while Chelsea wore her friend Libby’s earrings as well as carried along a charm on her bouquet in memorial. They both have such beautiful hearts and I feel extremely blessed to know them.

After finishing getting ready, both spent a brief moment with their parents and then before the ceremony it was time for their “First Touch”. While they didn’t want to see each other yet – they wanted to have a brief moment to say hi and I love you. They were both full of smiles the moment their fingers touched. I’m not sure either one of them was in a hurry to part, but eventually, it was time to separate so that they could prepare for the ceremony. As soon as the doors parted for Chelsea to walk down the aisle and they could finally lay eyes on one another, both Chelsea & Jesse were full of emotion. The tears flowed quickly and freely. They are so perfect together. It was beautiful watching them officially become husband and wife.

After some portraits, it was time for the reception. Dinner came quickly and their guests greeted them excitedly as they passed alongside the head table. Everyone wanted their turn to congratulate the couple. After a couple of super sweet toasts, it was time to cut the cake. But even though Jesse had won the cake jar competition, Chelsea handed over some extra cash to ensure that it was Jesse’s beard and not her makeup that ended up filled with icing. Everyone laughed as the two playfully shared their cake.

We snuck outside while the guests had dessert for a few final portraits during golden hour. This is one of the best parts of the day. They haven’t had a chance to be alone together since they said “I Do”. So between the beautiful evening light and getting to hold each other close for a few minutes, it’s always special. But eventually, we had to halt the snuggles and head in so they could share their first dance as husband and wife, followed by a couple of sweet parent dances before the dance floor officially opened to everyone. It didn’t take long for everyone to join in on the party! And before we knew it, it was already time to say goodbye!

Chelsea & Jesse, Congratulations again!! I am so happy for the two of you and that we could share in this amazing day! I cannot wait to see where the next chapter of your love story takes you!

Lots of Love,
Jessica
