From the first moment Jessica reached out to me, she had my heart. This girl has the most genuine and sweetest soul. It was easy to see immediately why Tom fell in love with her. She told me she had been following me on Instagram for a long time and reached out right after he proposed because she wanted to make sure I was open before booking her venue. It always feels both shocking and heartwarming when I have a couple who is willing to adjust their wedding plans if necessary to ensure that I am their photographer. The fact that I am able to spend my life capturing these amazing moments is never lost on me. I knew without a doubt that I wanted nothing more than to photograph her wedding to this man who captured her heart.
This past Fall we finally got to meet these two in person for their engagement session where they won me over all over again. Jessica was a bundle of nerves and Tom just had this calming presence about him that makes her feel safe and loved. I went home from their session and began counting down the days until we could celebrate with them.
Their wedding at The Savoy Ballroom on historic Commercial St was stunning. Not only was it beautiful but there were so many details that captured who they are as a couple. Their vows brought me to tears. After an extraordinarily sweet ceremony, it was time to party. Everyone was having a great time enjoying dinner and drinks followed by a party on the dance floor. And I can say I had a first in my wedding career, when mid-reception, Jessica snuck away for a wedding night haircut before they left on their honeymoon! Oh, and I even had my own personalized sign!
Tom & Jessica, Thank You from the bottom of my heart for choosing us to celebrate such a special day. There were simply so many amazing memories created and I am so honored I was able to share them with you.
Lots of Love,
