I absolutely fell in love with Maitlyn & Josh when I met them! I knew with all my heart that I wanted to be a part of celebrating the next chapter in their amazing love story. So needless to say, I was bursting with joy when they reached out to let me know they officially wanted me to photograph their wedding!
We arrived at Sparrow Lane on this Thursday afternoon to find everyone happy and relaxing. Florals were being set, tables were being decorated and despite the business – there was a sense of peace & calm. Maitlyn and her bridal party were getting their hair and makeup completed as the boys began arriving in the cabin next door. Everyone was just happy to be there and to celebrate this amazing couple.
After everyone was dressed and ready it was time to share some first looks. Maitlyn really wanted to make sure that not only did they get a special moment with their own parents but also with their future in-laws. I loved the thought she put into making it even more special. Finally it was time for Josh and Maitlyn to see one another and to share their private vows. I honestly think this was my favorite part of the entire day. They couldn’t take their eyes off one another – and even though their whispered vows were faint – I found myself tearing up anyway – just seeing the adoration in the way they looked at one another. I truly feel like these two have a love like you see in the movies.
Eventually we had to get a little noisier as everyone came inside from the wind for photos of the wedding party and family. It was great! All of their family and friends were so nice and made getting photographs done a complete breeze! Before we knew it, it was time for our couple to hide away as the guests finished arriving.
The little chapel was filled with so many loved ones! Even the couple’s dog, Micco, got to make his special appearance. It was a perfect ceremony filled with love and laughter. After the couple exchanged vows, rings, and then their first official kiss as husband and wife! Josh didn’t seem in any rush for that kiss to end!
After a few quick sunset portraits it was time to start the party! Everyone gathered in the barn and cheered as the wedding party were announced in! Maitlyn and Josh made their big entrance and went straight into their first dance. Dinner was served and everyone mingled throughout the reception until it was time for speeches. The cake cutting brought a giant round of laughter. While Josh may have won the cake jar competition – Maitlyn decided to be sneaky and got Josh before he could get her. Though I personally think she played nice and got him more with the cake than the icing! After a few more special dances it was time for the dance floor to officially open! You wouldn’t have known this was a Thursday evening wedding. The dance floor stayed full and nobody was in a rush to end this party! It was such a perfect night!
Josh & Maitlyn, I do not have enough words to explain how thankful I am to have met you both. The love you have together is what dreams are made of. I am wishing you both so much happiness in your future and I cannot wait to see what the next chapter in your story brings!
