2016-01-17_0001How did you meet?

“We met at a friend’s house at his annual 4th of July bash. Our mutual friend had invited me with the intention of introducing me to Quincy, but Quincy was not aware of this. We ended up talking towardsthe end of the evening and the next thing we knew it was after 1 am and everyone else was gone while we sat there continuing to talk.”

Where was your first date? What did you do?

“After 2 weeks of talking everyday, Quincy FINALLY asked me out. We went to Scotch and Soda downtown to grab a couple of drinks. We then had dinner at Garbo’s pizza and went bowling at Andy B’s.”

What are your favorite things to do together?
“We like sending each other stupid pictures and text messages all day long, giving each other a hard time, doing things with our kids, watching TV, hanging out with our friends, watching football, and so on.”

Tell us about your proposal.

“When mom and Jessica announced a scavenger hunt for the kids at our family Thanksgiving dinner, I had no idea I would be getting a prize at the end as well! So thankful to have this amazing man in my life and ask me to permanently be a part of his!”

Quincy & Lindsay decided to start their journey as husband & wife back where they began, at Downtown Springfield’s Scotch & Soda! This cozy, candle-lit venue was the perfect place to join their past and present as they begin their future together!
Springfield’s own Mayor Robert Stephens, and family friend, officiated over the intimate ceremony.
