Ever since I photographed Maddie & Stephen’s engagement session last Summer I have been counting down until we could celebrate their wedding day. Both Stephen & Madi are extremely kind, which means as a couple they just exude a sense of peace & calm around them. When I arrived at Greenhouse Two Rivers the girls were just finished with hair and makeup and full of smiles. Stephen and his groomsmen were quietly hanging out in the groom’s suite, where he was doing his best to hide his anxiousness to see his bride-to-be. We might have accidentally tortured him by doing all of the first looks with everyone but him in the hallway outside his room where he could see, but not hear her. Oops!! But it wasn’t long before we headed to the pond to give these two a chance to see one another and share a quiet moment away from the chaos of the day.

The ceremony was so beautiful. The couple said their vows in front of their family & friends and braided unity cords to signify the joining of their lives together before officially being pronounced husband and wife. These two were all smiles as they walked back down the aisle. The guests enjoyed a social hour on the patio while we finished up some last portraits. Then it was time for a lovely evening filled with dinner, speeches filled with love, and a few special dances before their guests sent them away thru a trail of sparklers under the evening sky.

Maddie & Steve, Thank You so much for sharing such an important moment in your story with us! I am so honored to have been a part of your day. I wish you both so much joy and happiness as you start this new chapter in your lives!
