I have spent the last several days trying to decide what to say about Josh and Sarah. It feels like we have been planning their wedding day FOREVER! I love these two just like family – and honestly, they truly are practically family anyway. To say I was excited would be an understatement. This last weekend was my first double wedding weekend of the season and it could not have fallen on a more perfect weekend. The weather was absolutely perfect and the leaves were showing off their gorgeous Fall colors. Looking back, it’s easy to see how their day officially tops the largest number of photos I’ve EVER taken at a wedding in over 8 years of doing this. It was so hard to even begin going thru to choose a “small” amount for a sneak peek! How do you even begin to narrow down photos from such an amazing day?
We started out the day by grabbing some detail photos and final getting-ready moments. The girls popped champagne and proceeded to spray me with it. I’m not sure why this always happens at Sparrow Lane. But not to be outdone – the guys made an attempt to spray their beer. I’m glad to say I managed not to get the beer all over me. I think the girls overall did it better. Though these boys certainly kept us all entertained! I’m forever calling it a win when Josh asks and actually wants me to take a photo!!!
After sharing first looks and sweet moments with her dad, mom, and bridesmaids – it was finally time for Sarah to see her groom! We headed over to the tree line for some quiet as they shared this special moment. Then they shared their private vows with one another after playing rock paper scissors to see who had to go first! We finished some photos with the wedding party and then it was time for the ceremony!
They had the most beautiful backdrop as the sun dropped lower in the sky! I loved watching these two officially tie the knot! It was perfect and they completed it with a branding unity ceremony! This was a new one for me but I absolutely loved it. It fits these two perfectly! After sealing their vows with a kiss these two made the walk down the (extra long) aisle full of smiles and officially husband and wife!
After we finished family photos it was time for this sweet couple to take a moment of privacy and a few more photos! The light was on point and so were they! Though I could tell Josh was happy when I could tell him that “yes, formal photos are done – now you can party!” And yes, they certainly partied! After dinner and the formal festivities, the bar & dance floor stayed full all the way down to the very end when they were sent off by the light of glowsticks!
Josh and Sarah – CONGRATULATIONS my sweet sweet friends!!! I am so thankful for you both (and your loved ones) for opening your hearts and treating me like family! I’m wishing you all the love and happiness in your future together! Thank You for allowing me to share a part of your perfect day!
