Savannah & Steven’s wedding day arrived as a gorgeous Spring day. The sun was shining brightly and glistening off the pond as we arrived at Bullskin Creek. Their amazing team of vendors was setting up the final details when we arrived. I absolutely loved how their florals and colors just popped inside this rustic venue. It was GORGEOUS!!
When we arrived the ladies were sipping on mimosas while finishing up their hair and makeup. The gentlemen were relaxing in their suite. I have to say these guys were on top of it. This may have actually been the first wedding I’ve had where the guys were ready before the girls. Needless to say, Steven was definitely anxious and excited to marry his bride. Savannah finished getting ready with her mom by her side. She looked absolutely stunning! Then she and Steven took a moment for a “first touch”. They didn’t want to see each other yet, but they still wanted that moment to say hi and maybe shake off a little bit of the excited nerves that had been building up.
It was worth the wait too. The moment Savannah appeared with her mom during the ceremony – Steven couldn’t hold back his tears. There was just so much love in the air. They said their vows and exchanged rings with the pond sparkling in the background and FINALLY, they were pronounced husband and wife. After finishing up some portraits with their family and friends it was time to sneak them away to spend a moment alone and capture some photos of the newlyweds. I always love this part!! I could have kept photographing these two for so much longer. But eventually, it was time to head inside for the reception. Everyone cheered as the wedding party made their entrance. Then Savannah and Steven were welcome in thru a shower of flower petals and into their first dance. It was such a sweet moment to see them dancing in the spot where they had stood for their first touch just a little bit earlier.
After dinner and speeches, the newlyweds shared a couple more special dances before cutting their cake. Then it was time to get comfortable and enjoy the party with their family and friends. They mingled and rotated between the dance floor and the outside patio as the sun was setting. And then before they headed out for the night guests sent them off thru some sparklers. It was a beautiful day for this sweet couple!
