Ben + Katie’s Wedding Day at Finley River Farms, Ozark MO

In the Fall landscape of Ozark, Missouri, under the gentle rhythm of raindrops, the next chapter of Ben & Katie’s love story was being woven. In the warmth of a Farmhouse just outside of Ozark, Missouri, with their family and their two delightful children, they prepared for a day that promised a harmony of joy, remembrance, and resilience. As the sky wept, the farmhouse pulsed with anticipation, profound emotions, and a heartwarming charm. Under the gray Missouri sky, the rain carried with it a sign of good luck. After finishing getting dressed, Katie tucked a charm in her pocket which included a memento in memory of her recently passed father, encapsulating cherished memories and unspoken emotions.

Katie & Ben’s first look was a beautiful moment. Sheltered under the farmhouse porch, away from the soft drizzle, Ben’s eyes absolutely lit up when he saw Katie. It was a testament of their love, as comforting and consistent as the rhythm of the rain. The spark in his eyes held a promise of unwavering commitment and the anticipation of their journey ahead.

The remainder of the day unfolded at the tranquil Finley River Farms. The ceremony was held in a charming wooden, creekside chapel. In a tender moment that tugged at every heartstring, their sweet young son, Owen, walked his mother down the aisle, each small step echoing in the chapel and in the hearts of the onlookers. The words “I do” echoed through the chapel, resonating with love and commitment. The chair where Katie’s father should have sat held his photograph, a silent tribute to his enduring presence in their lives.

The reception at The Workshop was a celebration of love, unity, and cherished memories. Under the glow of candlelight, stories were shared, and laughter echoed. Adding to the intimate atmosphere, everyone ate family-style at two long tables, fostering a sense of unity and family bond, enhancing the warmth and intimacy of the occasion. Owen, their young son, captivated the crowd during speeches, letting his parents know just how much he loved them. His words brought smiles, laughter, and a few more tears to the already emotional day. Yet, the dance between Katie and her mother, a dance that would’ve been with her father, held everyone in a silent, emotional embrace.

Under the rain-soaked Missouri night, Katie and Ben celebrated a love that was joyous, tender, and beautifully real. Their wedding day, which began with rain and cherished memories, ended with a celebration that was a testament to their love story. This intimate wedding was more than just a union of two hearts; it was a poignant reminder of love’s strength and family bonds.

Katie & Ben, I was absolutely honored to share this perfect day with you and your favorite people. I am wishing you so much love as you continue this next chapter of your story together.

Lots of Love,
Jessica

Courtney + Caleb’s Fall Wedding at Greenhouse Two Rivers, Highlandville MO

This past weekend, Courtney and Caleb, surrounded by their closest family and friends, exchanged their vows at the Greenhouse Two Rivers. This is one of my favorite venues. It effortlessly merges nature with modern elegance. It was even more gorgeous than usual, nestled amongst the radiant hues of fall foliage.

Despite the chill in the air and the dampness of the day, the warmth radiating from the ceremony area provided comfort. The ivy strewn walls enclosing the space ensured that the cold stayed out, while the love within remained toasty and inviting. Yet, even amidst the beautiful surroundings, nothing could distract from the couple at the heart of the day’s festivities.

Courtney looked absolutely stunning! And, she had a surprise in store for her soon-to-be husband. She had made the bold decision to chop off all her hair. Yet, so absorbed was Caleb in the moment of her coming down the aisle, his gaze locked on his beautiful bride, that he didn’t notice her new look until after the ceremony. The couple’s two children were the secondary stars of the event. Their joy and excitement adding a layer of charm to the occasion. The kids joined in halfway thru the father-daughter and mother-son dances. These were touching moments that melted everyone’s hearts and showcased the tight-knit bond of this beautiful family.

Their intimate wedding day was a testament to their love story – warmed by the presence of those closest to them. As they danced the night away, wrapped in their love for one another, as well as the love of their friends and family, Courtney and Caleb started the beautiful journey of their married life together. As the evening fell and the formal events came to a close, the newlyweds made a cozy wardrobe change. Swapping their wedding attire for matching “hubby” and “wifey” sweatshirts, they showed that they were not only a couple in love but also best friends ready for a lifetime of comfort and happiness together.

Courtney & Caleb, Congratulations again! Thank you for choosing to share your perfect day with me! Enjoy this tiny peek back at your day. I had so much fun celebrating you with all of your favorite people! Sending you so much love as you begin this next part of your story!

    Lots of Love,
    Jessica

Ryan & Latasha’s Wedding at The Sterling Event Center, Joplin MO

How do you define a perfect wedding day? Is it just about the gorgeous decor, the perfect venue, or the joyous celebration? If you ask me, I’d say it’s all about the emotions, the love, and the resilience that the couple brings to the day. And that’s exactly what we saw during Latasha and Ryan’s wedding day at The Sterling Event Center, just outside of Joplin, MO.
Latasha and Ryan – two individuals whose love story is as beautiful as they are. When they chose the Sterling Event Center for their wedding, they didn’t just pick a venue; they chose a location that perfectly encapsulates their love – elegant and full of warmth. Guests were arriving by multiple bus loads to celebrate this amazing couple.
Despite a recent injury, Latasha’s spirit was unbroken. As she walked down the aisle, her veil seemed to have a mind of its own and refused to stay put. But Latasha, with her characteristic spirit, simply laughed, tossed the unruly veil aside and continued her careful walk with grace and poise. This bride had strength and grace in abundance and watching her conquer this little hiccup with humor, along with any others that occurred throughout the day, was a moment I’ll never forget.
The ceremony was a testament to their love, their commitment, and the strength they found in each other. As Ryan stood by Latasha, their vows carried a deeper significance, a promise of being there for each other in health, sickness (and injury). One of the most touching moments of the ceremony was when Ryan turned to Latasha’s daughter and read out a set of vows just for her. His voice, filled with emotion, made promises of love, protection, and guidance. He promised to be not just a husband to Latasha, but also a father figure to her daughter. It was a beautiful moment that brought tears to many eyes, including my own, and it was a honor to capture it.
Their large, vivacious wedding party added to the fun. After the ceremony, we headed up to the balcony and Latasha thanked her wedding party with a private, sweet speech that ending with a collapsing champagne tower. It led to laughter all around and added to another amazing moment, that while it may not have went as planned, it still created a perfect memory.
The Sterling Event Center came alive with a reception that was nothing short of a dream. But what made it even more special was the joy and laughter echoing throughout the room filled with all of their favorite people. After Latasha and Ryan made their way down the stairs, Friends and family watched the couple’s first dance and a wonderful speech by her father. As I clicked away, capturing these beautiful moments, I couldn’t help but be swept away by the infectious energy. Their wedding day was more than just a celebration; it was a day that exemplified love, resilience, and the promise of an amazing journey together.
Here’s to Latasha and Ryan, a couple whose love story is as beautiful and inspiring as they are. May their journey ahead be filled with love, laughter, and all the strength they need to overcome any obstacle that comes their way. As they say, love isn’t just about finding the perfect person, but also about facing the imperfect moments perfectly together. And that’s Latasha and Ryan for you.
      Lots of Love,

      Jessica

Noah’s Senior Photos at Waffle House

“… Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name…”

Noah didn’t have much in mind for his senior portraits. He’s a pretty chill kid like that. His one and ONLY request was that we take photos at his favorite place – Waffle House. His parents convinced him we needed a few more looks, but as this was his only request – I had to take it to heart. He even informed me that while checking out colleges first he sees if they have his intended degree program. Second question – Is there a Waffle House nearby?

I think it is safe to say that Waffle House is practically a second home to him. The staff know him by name, so I think it’s fair to say he spends a lot of time there. Before school. After school. After track & cross country. Late nights with friends and “just for funsies” – this kid loves his waffles. Even though he’s been known to eat 5 waffles in one sitting, for his session he settled for a small order of 2 blueberry waffles.

Noah, I hope we fulfilled your Waffle House dreams! Here’s to an amazing rest of your senior year!!

Madison + Reese | Stella Springs Wedding, Stella MO

Madison & Reese’s wedding day came on a gorgeous Fall day. They began their day surrounded by their family and friends. Reese went fishing to start the day while Madison relaxed with her favorite girls. After getting dressed, and some final touches it was finally time for Madison and Reese to share their first look. With the sun glistening thru the trees, Reese finally turned to see his bride-to-be, a giant smile lighting up his face. Madison was simply glowing with happiness. They walked over to the tree swing where they shared a sweet moment together as they privately shared their vows with one another.

After taking a few portraits alone together, it was time for their friends & family to join in for the fun. The wedding party laughed and joked, making the the time fly by. Family met the couple with big hugs as we continued and finished up all of their portraits. Soon it was time for the wedding party to go into hiding, and guests began gathering at the ceremony site.

The ceremony location was so peaceful and beautiful. The altar stood in the shade with the pond and waterfall nestled in the background. Reese and the wedding party made their way down the aisle and soon after the guests rose to watch Madison, escorted by her dad, come down the rock staircase and make their way to the altar to join her groom. The ceremony was beautiful as they exchanged vows and rings, as well as shared communion with another before being pronounced husband and wife.

The sun was slowly setting as the guests made their way towards the barn for the reception. We finished up a few last portraits and let the newlyweds soak in the day as we strolled around the pond and slowly made our way behind everyone. Everyone cheered as the couple made their entrance. It was a beautiful evening with special dances, speeches and a delicious charcuterie spread. The couple mingled and danced the night away. Before long, Reese swept Madison off thru a shower of birdseed as they headed off to their honeymoon as everyone waved goodbye to the newlyweds.

Congratulations Madison & Reese! I hope the wedding was everything you dreamed of and a perfect beginning to the next chapter in your story!

          Lots of Love,
          Jessica
