Audrey + Cameron | St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church Wedding, Springfield MO

Over the last year, I have spent a lot of time getting to know Audrey over multiple Zoom videos and texts (with the occasional appearance by Cam). Our planning and communication were completely done all from a distance without ever getting to meet and chat in person. (Thanks COVID) But nonetheless, when their wedding day arrived, it felt like seeing a long-lost friend. I already knew how wonderful she was but getting to meet her in person and spending time with all of her wonderful friends was so much fun. The music was blasting and smiles were all around. After getting ready with a lot of her favorite ladies we headed to St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where I finally got to meet Cam, the second part of this amazing duo. Cam and his groomsmen were absolutely hilarious and kept me on my toes all day! I can say they were one of the best bridal parties EVER!
After Cam & Audrey’s beautiful ceremony it was time to climb on the bus. And no, this was not just a party bus. We’re talking it took a CHARTER BUS to fit everyone! They were determined that they should all be together as we drove around town for photos. It was a bright and windy day as we drove between locations listening to the laughter…and maybe a little Karaoke. And then we ended the evening before they headed off to dinner by stopping by Midnight Rodeo. Once upon a time, these two lovebirds caught each other’s eye from across the room — and history was made. So it was only fitting to end the day at an important part of their history together, surrounded by their favorite people!
Audrey & Cam, Thank You SO much for letting us share these amazing memories with you! I can honestly say that I was extremely sad to see the day end. I cannot wait for Round 2 in October for your reception at Moontown Crossing!!!

Elaina + Matthew | Sparrow Lane Wedding, Willard MO

Elaina & Matthew’s Wedding Day at Sparrow Lane was simply beautiful. I absolutely adore every time I get to photograph another military couple – and they were no exception. Their intimate Monday wedding was spent surrounded by their closest loved ones. They kept their bridal party small but you could tell just how important the people they chose to stand with them were.  I loved how intentional everything was. From the details to the decor – they showed you just how gorgeous a small wedding could be. And speaking of gorgeous – how stunning is Elaina? Matt couldn’t take his eyes off of her from the moment he first saw her. You could see in their smiles just how much they loved one another and how happy they were, not just to have their wedding day arrive, but that they were husband and wife.

Congratulations again, Elaina & Matt! I am so happy for you both and I am so thankful for being able to share in your day!

Sharon + Scott | St Joseph Catholic Church Wedding, Springfield MO

Scott & Sharon’s wedding day at St Joseph’s Catholic Church had an extra special place in my heart. From the moment I first met Sharon, her sister, and mom for coffee at Eurasia I fell in love with their family. Their kindness and open hearts had me immediately feeling like a part of their family. After months and months of planning – our world turned to chaos. Sharon & Scott’s wedding day was my very first wedding to be fully affected by the Covid-19 pandemic as stay-at-home orders were locally mandated just a few days (and honestly felt like mere hours) before their big day. They chose to be wed in a private ceremony on their wedding date and push their celebration out to their one-year anniversary. So many tears were shed all around, including my own.
So the waiting and planning began again — and then FINALLY after a year of craziness their celebration arrived. We arrived at the parents of the bride’s home, where it was overflowing with smiles and laughter. There was something so special about getting ready in her home. The entire day showed just how important family is to this wonderful couple – all the way down to the details. The bride wore a vintage wedding dress & veil that her great-grandmother designed & made for her grandma that she was named after. She also held her grandma’s prayer book. In the smaller details, special significance carried thru: a blue necklace was given to her by her grandparents at her first communion, the earrings were the first gift Scott ever gave her, which later was the inspiration for her engagement ring. Every little thing had sentimental touches that just squeezed my sentimental heart.
And then, after a morning full of getting ready, Scott and Sharon renewed their vows in front of their family & friends. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and I could just feel the love surrounding this amazing couple. It may have taken a year to bring their loved ones altogether – but nothing could take away their happiness as they celebrated the night away with all of their loved ones. I couldn’t stop going thru their images just to pick a handful to post. It was such an amazing day!
Sharon & Scott, Thank You for sharing your special day with us. While I know the last year didn’t bring what you expected I hope it has just made your relationship that much stronger. There are not enough words for me to explain how much I adore you and your families. I am beyond blessed to have been part of such a special day and I cannot wait to see where your story takes you next!

Aislinn + Caleb’s Winter Wedding at Greenhouse Two Rivers

I cannot think of a better couple than Caleb & Aislinn to have kicked off this year’s Wedding season at the gorgeous Greenhouse Two Rivers. I have been counting down the days until I could spend more time with this stunning couple. I absolutely adore them both so much, therefore it was not surprising that we immediately clicked with their friends as well. There was just a sense of pure joy surrounding them and their friends. It may have been cold & rainy outside-but inside it was warm, filled with smiles & laughter. Their entire evening just radiated a sense of peace and comfort.
Aislinn & Caleb, Thank You for opening your hearts and sharing your incredible day with us. I am so grateful that we could share these moments with you and your loved ones.

          Goodbye 2020! Hello 2021!

This past year has certainly been one that will go down in history. I am pretty sure I have felt every range of emotion imaginable. Anger. Anxiety. Confusion. Doubt. Excitement. Fear. Frustration. Grief. Happiness. Joy. Sadness.
But as the year ends – I want to focus on the JOY. I want to focus on the positive moments as we say goodbye to 2020 & move forward into 2021. I have felt the struggles of my friends in the wedding industry but I have also watched so many businesses grow stronger. So many chose to stand and support one another thru one of the most difficult years our industry has faced. I am beyond thankful to be blessed with the friendships of so many amazing artists and entrepreneurs. Thankful for those people who chose to help build people up instead of burning them down.
2020 marked 6 years since my family left our military life behind and moved back to Missouri. Over the last 6 years, I have rebuilt my business from the ground up. I watched as year after year my hard work paid off and my business continued to grow at an unexpected pace. I refused to let 2020 and the COVID-19 virus decimate that growth.
I have pushed myself more than I ever have to give everything I could and more, to not only strengthen my own business but also our local industry. I’ve also vowed to extend myself even more than ever to each of the couples that I have had the honor of celebrating with this year.
After spending some time reflecting on this year – I realized that at the beginning of this year, I officially passed photographing my 100th wedding since relocating to Missouri. I have watched well over 100 couples pledge to spend the rest of their lives together. I have watched these sweet couples begin their own families and watch them continue to grow. No matter how hard 2020 was – it cannot take away how blessed I am each and every day to be a part of this amazing family that I have built.
Thank You all for trusting me with your memories. Thank You for not only becoming a client but for welcoming me into your own families. You will NEVER be just a client to me.
Goodbye, 2020! Here is wishing for an abundance of happiness & success in 2021 for my family and friends. You’ve earned it! Keep the strength and fight for the joy!
          Lots of Love,
