Some couples just feel like lifelong friends every time they step in front of my camera, and Lorin & Tyler are definitely that for me. From their engagement session to family photos and their beautiful wedding day, I’ve loved every moment I’ve spent capturing their journey.

This time, we slowed things down for a cozy, relaxed maternity session filled with love, laughter, and all the anticipation of waiting for their baby girl to arrive. They wanted a homey vibe, and I’m pretty sure we nailed it.

Lorin & Tyler, I feel so lucky to have been a part of so many big milestones in your lives. I can’t wait to meet your sweet little girl and see you two step into this next chapter as parents. She’s already so loved.

Lauren + Josh’s Winter Wedding at Southern Charm Estate | Mt Vernon MO

Lauren and Josh’s December wedding day was a subtle hint at the upcoming Christmas holiday. It was full of sweet, heartfelt moments and so much love. While Josh and his guys hung out playing foosball and eating pizza, their laughter echoing through the building, Lauren spent her morning surrounded by soft laughter and comfort as she got ready with her girls. The calm energy was so fitting for Lauren, and you could feel how much love surrounded her.

After getting dressed, Lauren and Josh shared the sweetest private first look in the chapel. They took a quiet moment together, exchanging hugs and soft whispers before sitting down to share personal letters they had written to one another. It was such a touching and sentimental moment that really set the tone for the day.

Before their guests arrived, we snuck in some portraits with the wedding party before everyone tucked away. The ceremony was intimate and meaningful, filled with prayers and special moments. Lauren and Josh’s parents prayed over them before the couple blended sand together as a symbol of their unity. Then they exchanged heartfelt vows and rings before being officially announced as husband and wife to the cheers of their loved ones!

The celebration continued at the reception, where guests warmed up with drinks from the hot chocolate bar while Lauren and Josh wrapped up a few final photos with family and their wedding party. Once the newlyweds made their grand entrance, Lauren’s father prayed over the couple and their meal, and everyone enjoyed a relaxed evening of mingling over dinner. The maid of honor and best man gave sweet and funny toasts before it was time to cut the cake. Josh and Lauren then made their way around the room, greeting each of their guests, making sure everyone felt loved and appreciated.

As the sun touched the horizon, their loved ones sent them off under a cloud of bubbles—such a fun and magical moment! Before heading out, we took a few final sunset photos, capturing the glow of their first moments as husband and wife. They shared one last quiet moment to end their wedding together on the empty dance floor before packing up and heading off into their next chapter together.

Lauren and Josh, thank you so much for letting us be part of such a special day. It was such a joy celebrating with you and your favorite people. I wish you so much love and happiness in your new adventure together.

Kayla + Randall | Nathanael Greene Park Engagement Photos, Springfield MO

Back from an incredible weekend in Chicago, I had the perfect ending back at home here in Springfield, finishing with Kayla and Randy’s engagement session at Nathanael Greene Park. It was one of those gorgeous, crisp November days where the sky was so clear, and the light was just right. Randy & Kayla were an absolute blast to hang out with! These two are so easy to be around—there’s a comfort between them that only comes from years of being together, an effortless connection that just feels right.

And their son, who hadn’t originally planned to jump into the photos, had a change of heart once we got there, bringing a whole lot of laughs along the way. We even managed to sneak in a few family shots!

We took our time strolling around the park, chatting about wedding plans, and getting to know each other. Before we knew it, the sun was slipping away, but none of us were ready to call it a night because we were having too much fun.

Alex + Alan | Fall Engagement Photos in Downtown Chicago

I had the absolute pleasure of heading to Chicago last week to kick off my weekend by capturing Alex and Alan’s engagement session. I’d been looking forward to meeting them both and easing out any pre-wedding nerves before their big day this winter. These two made the trip so worth it — their connection is undeniable, and you can see how they light each other up.

It was a beautiful Fall day to stroll around downtown Chicago, and we soaked up every moment in the city’s remaining vibrant, autumn colors. With the city’s buzz in the background, watching their playful smiles to those quiet, sweet moments, it’s clear that these two are perfectly matched. They’re genuinely kind people, and their warmth made it feel like we’d known each other for ages. This is why I love what I do — getting to capture love stories like theirs that feel effortless.

I can’t wait to be back in Chicago in January for their wedding and see these two say “I do” surrounded by all their favorite people.

Amanda + Tristan | The Walker Family Fall Photos, Springfield MO

Another classic case of a mini turning into a full-blown session! I’ve been lucky enough to photograph Amanda and her family for years, and I can’t believe it’s already been 5 years since Amanda & Tristan’s wedding. It was such a joy to see all of their sweet faces again and get a chance to hug on the kids. Their session went by way too fast!

And let me tell you, Miss Gwen is the princess of the family—not only in her mom and dad’s eyes but in all three of her big brothers’ too. Watching them dote on her is the absolute sweetest!
