Tavé + Trey’s Spring Wedding at The Atrium | Merriam Woods, MO

Tavé and Trey’s wedding day at The Atrium, just outside of Branson, MO was absolutely perfect. It was a gorgeous Spring day with the sun shining brightly down upon everyone. I can’t say even explain how excited I’ve been for this day. I have been anxiously waiting almost two years to finally get these two in front of my camera. They booked an amazing team of wedding professionals and I know we all have been so excited to celebrate these lovebirds.

We arrived as everyone was finishing lunch and the final details were being placed. Everything look phenomenal and there was just so much joy in the air. The guys sat relaxing and the girls popped some champagne to kick off what was going to be an amazing evening. After everyone finished getting dressed, it was time for Tavé and Trey to finally see one another. Trey’s face absolutely lit up when he opened his eyes to Tavé coming down the stairs. They are just so adorable together! After showing off her dress, Tavé turned Trey around so that he could see his groom’s cake – which was just the first of the sweet surprises she had planned for him. After showing off the cake, she gave him his gifts which included an adorable pair of cufflinks with their pup’s faces on them. We were able to make sure to get photos of them too, since one of the best parts of being at The Atrium is the fact that your furbabies have their own special play area.

After getting some portraits with their friends and family, it was nearly time for the ceremony! The guests began gathering to be seated, overlooking this stunning hilltop view of the Ozark Mountains. Trey and Tavé said I Do in a beautiful ceremony by Amy Wallace that brought tears to so many eyes of their eyes. They exchanged rings and shared their first kiss as husband and wife before heading back up the aisle to excited cheers the entire way.

Since they love going to concerts together, they wanted their reception to bring that feeling to their loved ones. They entered the reception to a shower of Cold Sparks to kick off the celebration. Jason Whorlow was playing the piano and DJing, keeping the crowd entertained and on the dance floor all night long while Shakers kept the drinks flowing. Everyone was having such a wonderful time mingling with one another thru dinner, dancing, drinks, and late-night popcorn from Target. The entire night was an unforgettable celebration that nobody wanted to end even after we sent them off through an aisle of cold sparks.

Tavé & Trey, Thank You for choosing us to be a part of sharing this unforgettable part of your love story! I hope you enjoy this tiny peek back at your perfect day! I am so thankful to have met both of you, along with all of your favorite people. I could not have picked a better couple to celebrate my 200th wedding! Congratulations again! I cannot wait to see where the next chapter of your story takes you!

Lots of Love,
Jessica

Mariah + Grant | Sycamore Creek Wedding | Branson, MO

Mariah & Grant’s Wedding Day arrived on another gorgeous, warm and sunny Spring day. It was like a dream. I heard Mariah say multiple times that she couldn’t believe was finally here and how it just didn’t feel real. Multiple ladybugs and butterflies graced us with their presence throughout the day, bringing good luck to the happy couple.

After spending some time with their parents & wedding party getting ready – it was finally time for Mariah & Grant to share a first look. When Grant turned around – his face said it all. He is so in love and you can tell he feels like the luckiest man in the world. Mariah’s smile was absolutely contagious. You couldn’t look at either one without feeling the joy between them. They chose to share private vows with one another under the shade of the beautiful Sycamore tree. It was such a perfect and sweet moment to start off their day of celebrating together.

After sharing some time alone together, it was time to include the wedding party in some portraits. They were a lot of fun and just as easygoing. I always like watching my couple’s personalities shine and come out even more around their friends. Sometimes it can be overwhelming being in front of a camera so much on a wedding day – but this group was rockstars and made it easy.

Before we knew it, it was time to hide away as guests began arriving for the ceremony. The butterflies were continuing to flutter thru the crowd as everyone made their way down the aisle. It was such a beautiful and sweet ceremony. I loved how both dads took a moment to speak to the couple at the beginning. You can tell that both Grant & Mariah are surrounded by so much support from their family and friends. It wasn’t long before the couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife. They headed back up the aisle under a shower of flower petals. They shared one more kiss and then rang the bell at the top of the aisle to celebrate that they are officially married!

After a few more portraits it was time to head into the reception. Everyone was so excited to welcome the happy couple. Plus, I was extra excited because one of my sweet couples was there DJing and running the photobooth. It’s always a special day when I get to see multiple couples I’ve had the honor of sharing in their day. After a yummy meal by Simply Delicious – it was time to do a quick rance around the barn to get photos with their guests. I actually don’t mind this – because I typically make an effort to get photos like these anyway – and this just makes it fun for everyone. We continued the celebration with toasts to the newlyweds and a few sweet dances before opening the dance floor.

We eventually snuck away for one of everyone’s favorite parts of the day. Golden Hour. A few more pretty portraits for the happy couple – and a chance to soak up a few minutes together, filled with lots of snuggles and laughter.  Soon it was time to head back inside to hear the results of the cake jar competitions. It was quite possibly the largest cake jar competition I’ve seen – and Mariah won, by A LOT!! Nobody was letting Grant put the cake on that pretty face. Though I think Grant got lucky in the end when the icing was not sticking to him! He was a good sport about it all the same and it was a fun way to end the evening before we headed out for the night.

Mariah & Grant, I hope you are relaxing and having the most amazing honeymoon. Thank You for sharing your perfect wedding day with me. I am so happy to have met you both and all of your favorite people! I can’t wait to watch your love story grow. Congratulations again!

    Lots of Love,
    Jessica

Lorin + Tyler’s Wedding Day at The Gambrel Barn, Verona MO

It felt like I have been anxiously awaiting this wedding day for SO long. I am truly blessed to have the most amazing couples. Lorin & Tyler won my heart before we even met. Lorin has the most beautiful soul – so it was no surprise when we met in person at their engagement session that Tyler was just as amazing. Getting married and becoming a stepmom may not have been in Lorin’s plans–but the truth is they were always meant to find one another.

After over a year of planning and dreaming, their wedding day finally arrived on a gorgeous Spring day with the sun shining brightly. There was hardly a cloud in the sky. We arrived at lunchtime, just as the girls were finishing their hair and makeup and the guys were helping finish the final touches. Everyone was in high spirits and filled with smiles. There was such a relaxed and carefree spirit to the entire day.

After getting dressed Lorin shared a first look with her dad and her bridesmaids. Then it was time for Lorin & Tyler to share a private moment together. We stepped onto the shade of the front porch for a quiet place to share their first look. The moment Tyler turned was the first of many teary eyes for me that day. There is no denying how much he loves her. They chose to share their vows in private, making this moment even more special. As part of her vows, Lorin shared a gift with Tyler, bringing more tears to us all. She gave him a pin in memory of his mother, to wear and keep her close on this day. I know that she was dearly missed the entire day.

After sharing this special time alone together it was time for portraits. We had fun laughing and joking with the wedding party before it was time for family portraits. And while typically the couple portraits are my favorite, getting some sweet shots of Tyler, Lorin and the two kiddos were pulling at my heartstrings. These two kids stole my heart at a family session this past Fall – and I was so happy to capture even more sweet moments with them at the wedding.

Soon it was time for their ceremony so they could make it official! The sun continued shining down, highlighting a perfect moment in this couple’s story. They said I Do, sealed it with a kiss, and straight to the reception we all headed! They were ready to celebrate with all of their family & friends. The night was filled with speeches full of so much love, and dances with the people they hold so close in their hearts. After the formal festivities ended – Lorin got to smash cake in Tyler’s face. And she definitely understood the assignment. The rest of the night was filled with drinks, dancing, yard games, and fun at the photo booth. This is a wedding that I definitely did not want to end. It was bittersweet. I had to wait to read the card from my gift until after I was home because I knew I’d probably end up crying yet again. (I did!) I know with these two I have made friends for life!

Lorin & Tyler, I hope you are having the most amazing time in Greece. I don’t have enough words to explain how thankful I am to have met you and your loved ones. I am so beyond thankful you chose to share your memories with me. I cannot wait to continue watching your story.

      Lots of Love,
      Jessica
