I have been anxiously waiting for this past weekend for what felt like forever!! Every time Brittany would message me throughout planning the wedding I would get a big smile on my face! I just adore Brittany & Sam so much! They are both such wonderful people and they just bring out the best in each other! I’m actually feeling a little sad that their wedding day has passed because I have loved celebrating them so much! I even actually ended up in a photo! If you know me-this never intentionally happens, but when I have two of my favorite brides together…I just couldn’t pass it up!
Britt & Sam’s wedding was at one of my favorite rustic barn venues, The Gambrel Barn, in Verona MO. We arrived just as the final touches were being put together by Rosewood Florals. Everything looked absolutely beautiful! Sam and his friends were relaxing while Brittany and her bridesmaids finished getting ready in the bridal suite. These girls were on top of it and quickly dressed before I even had to ask, so Brittany could share the final moments getting ready with her mom. After putting on her dress, jewelry, and a quick spray of perfume, it was time for Brittany to share her first looks with a lot of her favorite people. After showing off the dress with her bridesmaids and both of her fathers – it was FINALLY time for Sam to get his turn to see his beautiful bride. We snuck outside so they could share this quiet moment alone before we started all of the portraits. It was one of my favorite parts of the day because their faces just lit up with pure happiness getting to see one another!
The ceremony was so sweet! I really loved getting to hear their story again. I love when the ceremony is so personal to the couple. They shared their personal vows that were filled with so much love, exchanged rings, and then officially sealed the start of their marriage with a kiss! After the kiss and the walk back down the aisle are always my absolute favorite moments! It is truly just pure happiness and celebration at that moment.
After the ceremony, everyone gathered back in the barn to grab a drink and sit down for dinner! After eating we snuck back outside as the sun settled on the horizon – Just a short quiet moment for the couple to breathe and soak it in while I grabbed a few more portraits. Then we headed back inside where they both seemed determined to smash cake in one another’s faces before speeches. After sharing a few special dances it was time to PARTY! The lights went down and the music turned up. I think Grandma was ready to outdance everybody! The dance floor stayed full until the very end! Sam and Brittany shared one final private dance together as their guests headed outside and then we quite literally sent them off with a bang during their sparkler send-off! (If you know…you know! )
So many memories were created! Britt & Sam…THANK YOU for choosing to share your day with us! I’m so grateful to know you and to have been a part of this amazing day!!!
