Bryan + Sarah’s Intimate Winter Bass Pro Wedding, Springfield MO

Bryan and Sarah traveled all the way back to Missouri from their current home on my beloved island of Hawaii – to celebrate their wedding here with their family and friends. They had eloped about a year ago, as many military couples do, and have one of the best wedding stories I’ve heard in my entire life. But they decided to host their formal wedding celebration at Bass Pro’s Morris Conservation Center to represent their love of the outdoors, nature and conservation. The entire wedding day felt very much family-focused.

After getting ready, Sarah & Bryan shared sweet gifts and cards with their wedding party and parents. Then they took a moment to read letters from each other, before sharing a first-look and private moment together in front of the large fireplace where they would shortly share their vows. The frigid temps and breeze left us sneaking outside for only a quick moment for portraits but these two were champions.

The ceremony had a warm and cozy feel to it. Once they described their style to me as eccentric art lovers in a log cabin with a wood-burning fireplace. And in a way I felt like that is what we stepped into on their wedding day. They sweetly walked down the aisle together after which Bryan’s father (and officiant) took a selfie with everyone before everyone put their phones away so they could share in this special moment. Bryan & Sarah shared their vows and exchanged rings before being officially pronounced husband and wife (again)!!

After family photos, the guests headed to cocktail hour while the happy couple snuck away for a quiet moment and a few quick photos in the Aquarium. Soon after we headed back so they could make their entrance into the reception to a round of cheers by everyone. They sweetly shared their first dance together and Sarah shared a special poem before everyone enjoyed dinner. After dinner was wrapping up it was time for speeches. Each speech was filled with so much love and affection for this couple. And yet again, you could see just how special their family and loved ones are to them. After cutting their cake, Sarah & Bryan both shared extremely sweet dances with their moms. And then it was time to party. Everyone was dancing and mingling and just enjoying have this special time together. Before I knew it, it was time to head out. But before the night ended the guests had a fun time blowing bubbles around this wonderful couple as they shared another dance together.

Bryan & Sarah, Thank You for sharing this beautiful day with us! I cannot wait to see where your journey takes you next!

Lots of Love,
Jessica
