Goodbye 2020! Hello 2021!

This past year has certainly been one that will go down in history. I am pretty sure I have felt every range of emotion imaginable. Anger. Anxiety. Confusion. Doubt. Excitement. Fear. Frustration. Grief. Happiness. Joy. Sadness.
But as the year ends – I want to focus on the JOY. I want to focus on the positive moments as we say goodbye to 2020 & move forward into 2021. I have felt the struggles of my friends in the wedding industry but I have also watched so many businesses grow stronger. So many chose to stand and support one another thru one of the most difficult years our industry has faced. I am beyond thankful to be blessed with the friendships of so many amazing artists and entrepreneurs. Thankful for those people who chose to help build people up instead of burning them down.
2020 marked 6 years since my family left our military life behind and moved back to Missouri. Over the last 6 years, I have rebuilt my business from the ground up. I watched as year after year my hard work paid off and my business continued to grow at an unexpected pace. I refused to let 2020 and the COVID-19 virus decimate that growth.
I have pushed myself more than I ever have to give everything I could and more, to not only strengthen my own business but also our local industry. I’ve also vowed to extend myself even more than ever to each of the couples that I have had the honor of celebrating with this year.
After spending some time reflecting on this year – I realized that at the beginning of this year, I officially passed photographing my 100th wedding since relocating to Missouri. I have watched well over 100 couples pledge to spend the rest of their lives together. I have watched these sweet couples begin their own families and watch them continue to grow. No matter how hard 2020 was – it cannot take away how blessed I am each and every day to be a part of this amazing family that I have built.
Thank You all for trusting me with your memories. Thank You for not only becoming a client but for welcoming me into your own families. You will NEVER be just a client to me.
Goodbye, 2020! Here is wishing for an abundance of happiness & success in 2021 for my family and friends. You’ve earned it! Keep the strength and fight for the joy!
Lots of Love,
