I have been so excited to celebrate with Alex & Laura! These two lead busy lives as Paramedics with crazy schedules — so it was certainly time to finally celebrate this sweet couple! Their intimate wedding day had them surrounded by family and friends that absolutely adore them. This whole group just wanted to relax, laugh, and have fun with each other. (And I’m still disappointed that what could have been the ultimate photo-op got canceled…ALEX!!!!)
But my favorite thing—was watching Laura and Alex when they were around each other. They had so much love in their eyes. You can just tell that they adore each other more than anything. All the way thru their last dance, they couldn’t take their eyes off one another. It was beautiful watching this new chapter begin for them.
After a beautiful ceremony, Alex & Laura shared their first dance as husband & wife as the sun slowly set around us. It is my absolute favorite way to time the first dance at Haseltine with this beautiful glow. This one was extra special as it was my final first dance at Haseltine for the 2021 wedding season. It is always a little bittersweet when this stunning venue closes for the Winter season.
So as the evening continued on…so did the drinks and laughter. The mic was passed from table to table as so many wanted to toast to the bride and groom. And then the party moved to the dance floor where DJ Vibe kept the dance floor full down to the very last song!
With a heavy heart, I bring sadness to this post that I wish more than anything was not true. On Friday night, on her way home from this beautiful evening, DJ Vibe, Heather, was involved in a fatal car accident. My heart has been aching for days, not knowing how to process that I was one of the last to speak with her. Heather had such a vibrant spirit and is missed by so many. If anyone would like to contribute, A Go Fund Me has been set up on Heather’s behalf. Funds will go directly to Heather’s final expenses and all remaining funds will go to her daughter.

Alex and Laura, I am so honored to have shared your day with you. While I know there were moments of your day that did not go as planned or may have left a hint of sadness, I hope you can look back at these photos and remember all the amazing and happy memories you created!!
