There are not enough words to explain how much I loved meeting Sara and David for their engagement photos at Finley Farms, where they’ll be saying “I do” next year.
We started the evening at The Marley House, where they had just finished a wedding prep meeting with their coordinator. From there, we wandered across the beautiful property along the creekside and under the soft glow of sunset, under the warm lights of the bridge. Every corner of Finley Farms felt like it was made for them.
There’s something so easy and genuine about these two. David has such a calm, grounded energy, and you can see how instantly at ease Sara feels around him. She has the most gorgeous smile — the kind that seems to appear effortlessly whenever he looks her way. What stood out most to me was how natural they are together…no pretense, just quiet joy and laughter that feels like home.
And then, just when I thought the evening couldn’t get any sweeter, fate had one more surprise in store. About a week before their session, I was contacted by someone wanting to propose to his girlfriend at the same location. It just so happened to fall on the same Monday evening as Sara and David’s shoot! When I asked if they’d be okay helping with the surprise, they didn’t hesitate for a second. They stayed late after their session, helping me distract the soon-to-be fiancée and cheering quietly as she said yes.
That small moment summed up exactly who they are. Kind, patient, and full of heart. The kind of people you can’t help wanting to surround yourself with.
Sara and David, thank you for such a beautiful evening. You reminded me why I love what I do…because behind every photograph is a love story just like yours.
