Almost 6 years ago we said goodbye to our previous homes in Hawaii and Washington as my husband ended his time serving our country and we moved back to our home-state of Missouri. It was a scary process at the idea of beginning our lives anew, but also the overwhelming thoughts of if and how to start my business all over again. In the end, while it was scary, I was excited at the idea of finally being able to focus my camera where my heart felt most at home, on sharing a couple’s love story.
Four months after we moved back I photographed my first Missouri wedding. I am so thankful to Beth & Jeremy for trusting and hiring me for their special day, even when I was still 2,000 miles away. That day began an amazing journey that to-this-day I am more and more amazed by. I could only have dreamed for my business to grow to what it has. I am so humbled and brought to tears to be able to say that I have been published in multiple magazines, both locally and internationally. But even those don’t make me as proud as I am of the 10 awards I have now received from The Knot & Weddingwire in the time since I launched my business here.
I am beyond honored and blessed to be able to say that I have been given the Best of Weddings award again, which also means I can say that I am now in The Knot’s Hall of Fame for photographers in our Arkansas & Missouri region. These awards mean more to me than anything because I couldn’t receive these if my amazing couples didn’t take the time to leave their kind words. I am forever grateful to each one of you for trusting us with your memories and a little piece of your heart! I literally could not be where I am without you!
