I just absolutely adore Caleb & Alyssa. They have such a quiet calm nature that just puts you at ease. This past weekend we joined them at Stonegate Glass Chapel, ready for an amazing day filled with love. Alyssa looked absolutely gorgeous. You could tell she was anxious to see her groom because she may have gotten ready faster than any bride I’ve ever had. So after sharing a first look with some of her favorite people – it was time to finally see her groom! It was just perfect. The rest of the day these two had eyes only for each other!
After portraits, everyone prepped for the ceremony which was absolutely beautiful. The chapel never needs much because it simply stands out on its own. The couple chose to do a unity sand ceremony where they combined their two colors of sand before they were officially announced as husband and wife. After the ceremony, we all headed to the reception hall to celebrate. As everyone entered the reception hall, they found their names on the seating chart & headed to their table – ready for a delicious dinner. And this is where, yet again, you could see the couple’s sweet nature shine. I have to take a minute to call out just how wonderful they are. We (as photographers) typically try to grab a few quick moments to eat before we head back into the main events of the reception. Sometimes it just means hiding in a corner or a closet. We’re lucky that many of our couples absolutely insist that we take the time to eat but every once in a while the kindness of our couples truly can be felt. Not only were our names on the seating chart with a place at the table to get off our feet for a moment – but Chrystal & I also had matching acrylic name plates just like every other guest. Now, it might not have seemed like a big deal to most anyone else, but to me, it meant the world. Small gestures like this remind me just how amazing my couples are.
After dinner, the couple went table to table and shared a few moments with all of their guests before their wedding party shared toasts to the couple. After cutting their cake and sharing their first dance together – they both shared a dance with some of their parents. Then we had some fun on the dance floor. They had fiber-optic “sparklers'” for their send-off which ended up being really fun to play with while dancing! I’m definitely going to be recommending them to future couples!! It was such a fun way to end the evening!
Alyssa & Caleb, Congratulations again! I feel so lucky to have met you both and been able to share in such an important day with you and your loved ones. You are two of the kindest people I’ve met and I am so excited to see where your love story takes you next!
Lots of Love,
