Courtney + Zane’s Engagement Photos | Table Rock Lake, Branson MO

This past weekend we headed to Branson to meet Courtney & Zane. They were traveling to Missouri to work on some wedding planning – and so it was the perfect time to schedule their engagement photos. They really love the natural beauty of the outdoors so we decided that Table Rock Lake was a perfect backdrop for their session. Though, luckily, they didn’t think I was too crazy when I did have them take a few photos on the side of the road. What can I say? I follow the light. I love how laid-back both of them are. I have to admit – one of my favorite parts of the session was the very end when they got into the water for a few photos. It was so much fun!

Zane & Courtney, I truly loved getting to meet you both. I am so glad I can be part of sharing your love story!

Lots of Love,
Jessica

John + Dustin Engagement Photos in Springfield, MO

I am still sitting here obsessing over John & Dustin’s engagement session. They wanted lots of color and greenery so of course the park was a perfect fit. We met up and had the most amazing time getting to know each other. We danced and laughed our way thru their entire session. They even brought their own hype girl which made it even more fun to have another person’s perspective into their relationship. I am not sure I have ever giggled so much at a session. Yet, even with all of the laughter, we still managed to get some steamy & romantic smolders. (Lip twitches, and all!) These two absolutely rocked their engagement photos!!!

John & Dustin, THANK YOU for choosing to share your love story with me! You are the epitome of what I look for in my clients, full of love, joy, and kind hearts. I already consider myself so lucky to know you. I am beyond excited to celebrate both of you in December! Counting down the days…

    Lots of Love,
    Jessica

Brittney + MJ | Maternity Photos at Finley River Farms, Ozark MO

Two years since their engagement session, a year since their wedding, and now I have the honor of capturing another chapter of Brittney & MJ’s story together…as they prepare to welcome their precious baby girl into the world. I love teasing Britt about how they always manage to schedule their photos on hot, steamy Summer days. We had thunder rumbling in the distance their entire session – but we actually made it thru without a drop of rain.

MJ & Brittney, thank you for continuing to share your memories with me!! I can’t wait to meet your sweet girl!

      Lots of Love,
      Jessica

Dallas + Montana’s Summer Wedding at The Atrium, Merriam Woods MO

Dallas and Montana are seriously one of the most amazing couples I have ever had the opportunity of photographing. Their sweet, relaxed nature along with the strength of their love for one another is just beautiful. My barefoot bride and my dancing groom. You can’t help but to have anything but an amazing time when you are around them.

Their wedding day arrived on a gorgeous, sunny Summer day. The girls were just finishing up their hair and makeup when we arrived. The guys arrived and were relaxing in the groom’s suite.  Everyone was smiling and laughing all afternoon as they enjoyed preparing for this wonderful celebration. Montana’s mom & bridesmaids helped her finish getting dressed. She looked absolutely stunning. The designer may not have known it, but we all swear this dress was made for her. After a few final touches with her jewelry, Montana shared a first look with her dad. It was such a sweet moment as her mom and dad helped her put her veil on.

Finally, it was time for Dallas & Montana to share their first look. From the moment Dallas turned around to see his bride, their eyes barely left one another the rest of the day and night. Their love is so obvious to everyone who happens to be near them. After sharing this moment with one another, it was time for photographs with all of their favorite people. We had a blast laughing and joking our way thru photos with the wedding party. Then their families finished arriving for their turn at photographs with the happy couple.

Soon the rest of the guests began arriving. They grabbed fans and umbrellas and took a seat overlooking the stunning Ozark mountains. I can never get enough of this view. It is one of the many reasons why The Atrium is such a favorite venue of mine. Even though Dallas had already seen Montana, I swear, the moment those doors opened – it was as if he was seeing her for the first time as her dad escorted her down the aisle. They said their vows in a joy-filled ceremony before exchanging rings and their first kiss. Afterward, they excitedly made their way back down the aisle together surrounded by bubbles. They were officially husband and wife!!

The newlyweds snuck away upstairs for a private meal and moment together as guests headed inside to grab their own food and drinks. After dinner, the couple made their entrance down the stairs and guests cheered excitedly. Dallas & Montana then shared their first dance, choreographed and complete with cold sparks to entertain their guests. Then it was time for Montana to share a dance with her dad, even standing on his feet as she did as a little girl. Dallas also shared a sweet moment with his mom as they danced together. Much to her surprise, Dallas also wanted them to put on their own show as he attempted halfway thru to get his mom to do some booty-shaking of her own. Everyone was full of laughter as she shook her head at her son and walked away.

After the dances, it was time for speeches. Both toasts were filled with love for both Montana, Dallas, and the perfect pair they are together. Following toasts, it was time for Montana and Dallas to cut their wedding cake. I loved that they cut it to the song “Dancing it the Kitchen.” It was so cute and a perfect way to end the formalities as the dance floor opened up after the cake-cutting.  Montana had told me so many times how excited she was to dance the night away with all of her favorite people! She didn’t want an exit because she wanted to dance as long as she possibly could. And they definitely did! The dance floor was still going strong when we were finishing up for the evening!

Dallas & Montana, Congratulations again! I hope your day was everything you could have ever dreamed of. I am so thankful to have met you both and shared in such a perfect day! Thank You for choosing to share your love story with us!

        Lots of Love,
        Jessica

Jade + Jordyn’s Wedding Day | Industrial Grove, Fair Grove MO

I have been impatiently waiting to finally get to celebrate Jade & Jordyn since their engagement session! Their wedding day arrived on a hot and steamy June day with the sun shining all around. Summer had made its appearance and was making sure we knew it had officially arrived! We arrived at Industrial Grove as the wedding party was finishing up their hair, and makeup, and preparing for the day. After Jade finished getting dressed she wanted to share a first look with the entire wedding party as well as her dad. Then it was time for Jade & Jordyn to share a first look and private moment together. They made the moment even more special by quietly sharing their personal vows with one another there under the shade of the tree. I really love when couples take a moment to exchange vows or letters. Some couples find this so much more meaningful than doing so in front of a crowd.

It wasn’t too long after their first look and guests began arriving. Before we knew it – it was time to make it official!! The sun was shining down on everyone as the wedding party made their way down the aisle. Everyone was already full of smiles – but laughter abounded when, instead of a flower girl, they had a friend tossing out cans of beer! It was a great way to kick off the celebration. The couple exchanged rings and quickly were pronounced married! They were ready to get the party going, surrounded by all of their favorite people.

The wedding party and guests were all super chill and go with the flow – making everyone a lot of fun to be around. The reception kicked off with dinner, an open bar, and plenty of doughnuts. After Jade and Jordyn cut their cake as well as sharing a doughnut, they shared their first dance with one another. Jade also wanted to share a dance with her dad. By the way, I seriously fell in love with this guy! He was bringing me smiles all day! After the formalities, it was officially time to get this party going. The bar kept the drinks flowing and the DJ kept the dance floor full all night. Plus, they had one of the best snack tables I’ve seen at a wedding in my career, perfectly placed near the dance floor to keep the party going all night. Way too soon, the party bus was arriving and it was time to send these two off thru their sparklers and say goodnight. It was such a great celebration for an amazing couple!

Jordyn & Jade, I adore you both so much! Thank You for sharing your perfect day with us! I cannot wait to watch your love story grow!

          Lots of Love,
          Jessica
