Intimate Winter Elopement | Mt Zion Lutheran Church + Hotel Vandivort | Morgan + Geremy

This past weekend I spent one of the most amazing days hanging out with Geremy & Morgan. From the moment I first met Morgan I just fell in love with her sweet soul. I could spend hours just sitting and talking to her over coffee. (…and I did…) Their wedding day may have been small & intimate – but there was SO much love and heart poured into planning it.
We started out the day at the bride’s home where we were welcomed with open arms. There was a sense of family all afternoon as both the bride & groom’s parents gathered to be part of the getting ready process. Morgan’s dress was hung alongside her grandmother’s wedding dress, while she finished her makeup – with the floral crown from her own mother’s veil in her hair.
Photos from the bride’s parents’ own wedding were scattered throughout the room, creating a beautiful timeline of love stories both past and present.
Not to be outdone, Geremy got dressed in his custom suit from Men’s Wearhouse, paired with some awesome Hula Girl socks – and left for the church to await his beautiful bride-to-be. The ceremony was simple and absolutely beautiful as the sanctuary was adorned with a Christmas tree and Poinsettias. After the ceremony, Morgan and her dad shared the sweetest moment that left me (and them) with tears in my own eyes. After sharing some cupcakes and coffee with their loved ones the couple said goodbye and we headed to go take some portraits.

It may have been freezing but these two were total rockstars as we wandered the streets of downtown Springfield. Morgan looked absolutely stunning and our handsome groom was transitioning his style from Penn & Teller to ending the night a little bit closer to Post Malone. He had me smiling so hard my cheeks hurt! Once we had enough of the cold – we headed inside the warmth of Hotel Vandivort, where the couple was joined by a few close friends for dinner & drinks at The Order, mixed with a lot of smiles.

Altogether, while it may have been one of the most simple weddings I have had the pleasure to be a part of – it was also one of the most special. I am so blessed to have been able to share in such a beautiful part of Geremy & Morgan’s love story.

Congratulations again you guys! I am beyond happy for you!!!
Lots of Love,

Jessica
