Diamonds and Do’s | Springfield, MO Wedding Hair Stylist

I am SO excited to introduce you to this beautiful human being. Bri is amazing, extremely talented and will make sure to listen so that your hair is perfect for your special day! But not only will she work her magic on your hair but she also has such a kind heart! That is something that is so important to me. I want you to have gorgeous hair – but I also want to make sure you are loved on by your other vendors as much as I do. This is why I am so picky about sending you to somebody I trust. I work with Bri on a regular basis and she is who I consistently refer my brides to! I love showing up to do getting ready photos, knowing that I will find a room full of happy girls because Bri is in the process of making them all feel absolutely stunning!

Among your friends or family, what are you famous for?
Being Passionate and Talking a lot.

If you were given a free vacation, where would you go and why?
Greece. I love Europe and the culture and Greece is just so rich in history. It’s also absolutely breathtaking (from pictures I’ve seen) and of course to try their food.

What did you want to be growing up? What made you end up becoming a hair stylist?
A hair stylist lol. I was really good at hair from the time I was really small. I grew up in a small town and Kelli, who did my hair was always saying how talented I was. She ended up having a wedding that she needed help with and I went and did hair for her ( I was super young). I absolutely loved it and knew that was what I would do.

Getting Down to Business

How long have you been doing bridal hair?
I’ve had my business for 5 years. I’ve been out of cosmetology school for 9 years and I started doing weddings/formal hair probably 15 years ago.

What sets you apart from other hair stylists?
I’m able to do quality work in a short amount of time. This makes me able to do more people than most stylist could.

What keeps you passionate about weddings?
My amazing brides and the wonderful vendors I get to work with. Honestly I have days that I dread having to leave my kids and go to a wedding. Once I’m there though all that goes away. I love being with the bride and getting to know her and her family and closest friends. I also love being with the photographers, videographers, makeup artists, florists, and wedding planners. We have such an amazing group of vendors and it makes me feel like I’m not even working.

What was the most memorable wedding you ever worked, and why?
I did a very extravagant wedding at Top of the Rock my first year owning my own business. The bride was seriously the sweetest. She cried when I couldn’t stay for the wedding. Her family made me feel right at home and her twin sister was a riot. We are still friends and I love watching her family grow.

What is the best advice you can give clients who are not sure if they want or need to hire a professional hair stylist?
Honestly, one of the main regrets I hear from people is that they either hates their hair because they didn’t get it done or hated it because whoever did it didn’t do a great job. Your wedding day is a super special day and the one day you truly want to look your best. Hiring someone who does this every day and does a trial is so important. You are able to know what you will look like that day and be confident that you are going to look like your best self. It also keeps you from being frustrated because your hair isn’t doing what you wanted it to and then you end up disappointed with how you look. Let a professional take care of the stress and sit back and relax and focus on the amazing new adventure you are about to go on. Enjoy the family and friends surrounding you.

Where do you get your inspiration?
Originally I got it from Kelli Stanley who did my hair growing up. Before Pinterest days I would have dreams and visions of hairstyles. Honestly, I still have them every once in a while. Inspiration comes from everywhere if you allow it. Nature inspires me. I also follow some people on Instagram and of course there is Pinterest. I just feel like those two things block my own creativity sometimes. I lose my style sometimes when I’m always just copying others work.

What are some of your favorite wedding trends that you’re seeing right now?
Umm velvet 😍😍😍 I also love the triangle wedding arch and all the moody floral arrangements and colors.

Tell us about the services you offer!
I do on location bridal hair. I can do up to 13 people in a day.
I also do hair for photo shoots, date nights, proms, dances, and any other special occasions.
I also teach classes to professionals and nonprofessionals. I’ve done one on one lessons and classes for larger groups as well.

What is the best way for a couple to contact you?
Email, Facebook, or phone.

I absolutely love Jessica! She’s a blast to work with, has the biggest heart ever, and does beautiful work.
